When the world around it crumbles to bits, yet thehemp industry thrives, the strangest of all times. Two years following the passage of the Farm Bill, hemp once again is restored to its prestigious status as an authentic agricultural commodity. But while many see this return to hempҳ agricultural roots as merely another run-of-the-mill Americanized sham, the true potential and promise for the hemp industry are finally becoming understood by those in leadership positions within the agricultural industry. In fact, President Trump has made it clear that he intends to continue the Obama administrationҳ policy encouraging farmers to grow more hemp.
Why are hemp planting and cultivation a potential economic savior? Consider that in the United States alone, agricultural commodities represent approximately $65 billion a year and with that monetary figure, there is a lot of money to be made. Hemp can be used to make fiber, paper, fuel, and several other products that would be readily translated into major market sectors. The United States is already the leading nation when it comes to hemp cultivation, and they have been since the earliest days of the cultivation of marijuana. However, the United States has been severely limited in what it can do sinceCBD was added to the US Drug Enforcement Controlled Substances Act in Schedule II; even after the CBD laws were overturned by the US House of Representatives in February.
The reason the United States has been unable to fully capitalize on the growing industry is due to the fact that most hemp production is geographically limited geographically speaking. Hemp can only be grown in three states: Washington, Oregon, and California. Those three states account for approximately 80% of the entire United States hemp production. While the rest of the country is either in the process of developing infrastructure needed to cultivate hemp or has already done so, those three states are lagging behind in terms of investment. There simply is not enough money to develop a significant number of hemp farms in order to create a large-scale industry. What little industry develops is usually supported by state or federal government programs.
When the US government limited the amount of THC that could be included in marijuana, CBD quickly became the pharmaceutical-grade form of hemp being grown in the country. As more research is conducted on the physiological and medical properties of CBD, more medical benefits are expected to be discovered. Today, the list of potential medical applications for CBD is quite extensive. It has been shown to relieve the symptoms of serious medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, and glaucoma. It has also shown promise as an appetite suppressant and as an anti-inflammatory. A recent study by the University of California, Los Angeles reported that the dried form of CBD may also be used to treat patients with epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
Even though CBD is closely related to THC, which is the main ingredient in cannabis, it does not affect the body in the same way. Many people argue that THC causes a rush of euphoria, whereas CBD does not produce the same level of a Өigh.ԠHowever, it should also be noted that CBD is six times as concentrated as THC. Therefore, if one is ingesting a product with CBD in it, there is no doubt that the person is getting the same amount of the drug as what he would get from a marijuana plant.
Unlike THC, CBD is not addictive. This is a significant benefit when dealing with a drug that may be habit forming. Many people are under the impression that because CBD is not addicting, it will not be abused either. However, it should be noted that hemp does contain certain addictive qualities. In fact, marijuana contains more CBD than hemp, and it is this difference that leads people to believe that CBD will not lead to addiction.
One thing that many people do not realize is that CBD is more similar to THC in how it affects the brain than it is the other way around. While many people feel that THC is the ӢadԠweed, they are sadly mistaken. In addition to having no intoxicating qualities, CBD can actually mimic the effects of THC on the body. As such, even if a person is not suffering from a chronic condition or anything such as that, CBD could still have some beneficial results.
People who are looking for nutritional supplements often look forhemp seed oil as a source of nutritional benefit. However, very few people are aware of the fact that hemp seeds are also very high in antioxidants, which help to keep a person feeling youthful and fresh. As such, people who choose to use hemp seed oil as a supplement find that it helps to keep them healthy and vibrant. For this reason, many who choose to use it as an antioxidant supplement turn to it first rather than other nutritional supplements that contain high levels of antioxidants.
