Taking stock of 2022, we have made significant progress with the planned system re-platforming. February 2022 marked the launch of our first ever internally sourced Service Desk, and April 2022 saw us go live with the new Property Data Hub powered by Addresscloud. The remainder of the year has been focused on building and testing the new Bordereaux Management System (BMS), which will go live in April 2023. This monthҳ ѐrogressҠupdate focuses on transition activities leading up to the new BMS go-live and the type of support Flood Re will provide to participants, to ensure transition is as seamless as possible for the market. Transition to new BMS The new BMS, powered by Watertrace, will replace the Flood Re portal currently used for bordereaux submissions (https://www.floodre-portal.co.uk/portal). Below are a few updates and reminders: IP Whitelisting We have successfully conducted internal testing for IP whitelisting, a crucial part of building robust security measures for the new system. Only explicitly identified and approved domains will be allowed to access the new BMS portal safely and securely. More information will be shared in January 2023 when we will test the new URL with participants. Firewall Checks Please ensure you can access the new BMS Portal holding page now to address any firewall issues early:Flood Re ֠Production (watertrace.com). If you are unable to successfully access the BMS holding page, please contact the Service Desk atsupport@floodre.co.uk. Multi-Factor Authentication To further strengthen security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technology will be introduced as part of the log-in process for the new BMS Portal. This service will be supported by DUO. More information for participants will be shared in January 2023. Internal Testing The level and type of testing performed on the new BMS has been robust, including the use of bordereaux data to identify potential issues before transition. We are reaching out to selected participants to better understand some elements of submitted data and supporting processes. To those involved, we appreciate your engagement and support. Participant Training Training materials for using the new BMS Portal will be made available to participants during Q1 2023. Various ѬiveҠtraining sessions will be run from mid-February to early March 2023 in the lead up to go-live. These sessions will demonstrate key use cases as well as system functionality and cover how the Flood Re Service Desk works with participants.
