I have been travel nursing for 24 years. I have seen more changes in the last 1 years than ever before. Be careful of travel companies and recruiters. The corporations have become unscrupulous, immoral, and in some cases, down right illegal. 1.) Interview your recruiter with hard questions. ( A good recruiter and a bad company, you might yout might make it. A bad recruiter and a good company is doomed for a quick failure. Do they have more allegiance to the company, you, or just themselves?) 2.) Read the contract. 3.) Don't hesitate to ask for changes in the contract. 4.) Ask to read their standard contract before commiting. (If they won't let you , they have something's ng to hide.) 5.) Have your profile on board with at least 3 companies, and be prepared to move on before committing. 6.) Just because they say that they are nurse owned, doesn't mean that they are ethical. (Or that it is true that they are nurse owned.)
