When we concentrate on more than one thing at the same time, we can end up putting less effort into each task. I mean, of course, if you are focused on one thing, you’ll make sure it gets done perfectly. But when you do too many things at once, a lot of time is wasted in transitioning from one task to the other. And the tasks end up getting done in lower quality as well. Also, another benefit of focusing on one task only is the fact that it motivates you. When you’re concentrated on one task, you have one objective and that motivates you to do it quicker.
