Hemp, also known as industrial hemp, is a botanical category of cannabis sativa culites grown specifically for medicinal or industrial use. It is used to manufacture a wide array of goods. In addition to wood, hemp is among Earthҳ fastest growing natural resources. Hemp is commonly cultivated in four places: Africa, India, China and the United States. The main varieties are talliflorum and tallifolia (sometimes referred to as ӈempcreteԩ ֠these are grown in the United States, primarily in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Commercial production of hemp varies by state due to restrictive federal laws and legislation. However, hemp can generally be found in most states bylaw after being cultivated for at least two years. Some places grow hemp for other purposes, including the production of paper, fuel, plastics, fabrics and cosmetic products. Hemp can only be harvested several times a year. Harvesting the plants is usually done in spring and autumn and the stalks are cut after the first year. Hemp stalks are very tough and durable, with a steel blade that must be sharpened regularly before cutting. Hemp rope is typically used to pull up heavy bags, as it is strong and durable. Hemp can be cultivated using a variety of methods. It is usually grown in the open, unlike cannabis sativa, which is usually cultivated inside a green house. However, because the plants are not able to acclimatize to warm temperatures, most hemp crops need to be harvested outdoors between December and February. Harvesting is usually done either in spring or fall. Hemp requires high levels of water and can become deformed if it is over-watered. Hemp can be cultivated in three different ways: horticulture, hydroponics and aeronautics. In horticulture, hemp plants are raised under controlled conditions and harvested when they bloom. This is the most traditional way to cultivate the plant, but it is also the most expensive way. Hemp plants are taken directly from the seed to be Cultivated, usually on a small scale. Hemp can also be grown hydroponically in a similar fashion, but because hydroponics is more costly it is not used as often. When growing marijuana plants for consumption, Hemp requires much less water than it does for other forms of cannabis. Since it cannot grow on its own, hemp plants must be harvested frequently, resulting in less watering and frequent trimming. Some hydroponic systems require three trims of the plants each day, while others require only one trim. This trimming and pruning of the plant per day reduces air pockets that would result in mold and mildew growing. All of the trimming and watering are done without the use of pesticides, fertilizers, or chemical agents. The primary concern in regards to Hemp cultivation is the height of the stalks. The height of the stalks is important in order to harvest the plants properly. The height of the stalks is dependent upon many factors including the type of Hemp being grown, the climatic conditions, and the soil condition. Hemp is grown primarily in tropical regions where the weather temperatures do not change drastically throughout the year. Hemp can tolerate very cold and extreme heat. Extreme temperatures sometimes cause Hemp to wilt. There are numerous other benefits associated with the cultivation of Hemp. It is noted that it has significant weight loss potential due to the high amount of nutrition it contains. The high level of fiber in the plant is great for digestion, and the high level of natural oils provide great health benefits for users of the plant. It is also noted that the high concentrations of allicin and ceramide in the extracts of Hemp are great for reducing appetite and thus contributing to weight loss.
